Ratings in Flavor of Cacao: A nod to the much discussed #spiral graph and an excuse to experiment with 📦 {geomtextpath}.

Dataviz using a purple swirl on a creamy white background with chocolate-coloured text to depict the scores given in a chocolate database. Text which follows the contour of the swirl states: Each entry is given a score of 1 to 4. The swirl is thickest as it passes 3.5, the score most attributed in the history of the project.

Also a week in which I tried a lot of different ideas before settling on this one. Here’s the making of:
